My favorite item Part 1

 A presentation gone well?

The kids in kindergarten were excited. Everyone had to bring their favorite item with them and give a small presentation why.
Roscoe O'Malley knew exactly, what he was showing his class mates.
On the big day Roscoe was wearing it, a red t-shirt. Roscoe was small for his age, but already muscular. He had short brown curly hair and dark brown eyes, they were slightly slanted. Roscoe was naturally shy, especially with men. He was well integrated into the class, though.

A few students came before him. Andrea brought a small jewelry box. It was decorated with sea shells. Andrea and her mother had collected them from a beach in the Caribbean. Together with her grandmother she deciced what pattern and glued the shells on the box. Jayden told them everything about his Nintendo DS and showed them, that you could not only use it to play, but also to learn. Jayden was Roscoe's best friend. Tommy loved his comic book, Danielle the medal of her patron saint. Then it was Roscoe's turn. "My favorite thing is this t-shirt. I like the color and the bull on it. Mommy, Daddy, Alyssa and Tina and I went to Spain. I loved it. There was always sunshine and it was warm. We went swimming in the sea or in the pool. We had a carousel ride and a lot of ice cream. My Daddy's friend was cool. He always wore black and had a small car, but driving it really fast, and he was a magician, too! He made a coin vanish from his hand, and it popped out behind my ear. It was amazing!" The other kids listened with rapt attention and found it very exciting. They could ask questions, if they liked. Jayden wasn't too happy about the attention his friend was getting.

Roscoe told his mother, stepfather and younger sisters about it. He was beaming with pride. Roscoe's parents were glad the presentation had been successful and Roscoe's shyness hadn't caused problems. They praised him and told him they were very proud.

End of Part 1.
