Dressing Up

"Oh, come on it makes it more authentic!" It was Mike Noose's favorite word at the time. He was nearly eight, his brother Fin nearly nine. They were only eleven month apart and couldn't have looked more different. Mike was tall for his age and towered over Fin. He was dark haired and had blue eyes. His brother was light ash blonde and had blue grey eyes. Mike tried to convince his brother to wear some of their mother's clothing. They wanted to play parents and children. Fin wasn't so sure he should do it. He felt his parents disliked him and he would pay for it if he disappointed them. Wearing a dress was one thing they wouldn't approve of. Fin gave in when Mike threatened to tell their parents Fin didn't want to play with him, which would also spell trouble for Fin. They expected him to put up with his younger brother. Fin chose his mother's little black dress. It was still way too big for him. He was only about 4 ft. 2 in. Next were the high heels. Beverly Noose had a big shoe collection. Making up Fin's mind wasn't easy. He decided a red pair of high heels would go well with his mother's Chanel red nail polisher. He was attracted by the strong color. Mike helped applying the eye shadow and mascara. Satisfied Fin looked now like a mother, they started playing. They were in the middle of it when Fin found himself suddenly hauled up by his mother, got slapped on his backside and was screamed at: "How dare you, taking my clothing!" Beverly Noose pulled Fin with her out of the room. She took him to her home office. "Undress immediately and wait! I'll discuss your disgusting behavior with Dad!" Fin was close to tears. He knew he would get his ass busted and it was all Mike's fault, who would escape unharmed. It was so unfair. Fin complied with his mother's order and was standing soon only in his boxer shorts and socks in front of the writing desk. He shivered in anticipation and clenched and unclenched his buttocks. His parents didn't need long to arrive. Coldham Fintan Noose II lectured Fin he was a boy and boys didn't wear lady's clothing. "But..." Neither Coldham nor Beverly gave Fin a chance to explain himself. "We must make sure that you never forget you are a boy, so bend over Mom's desk." His Dad ordered. Fin knew from experience begging didn't help, but he tried it nevertheless. With hanging head he apologized: "I'm sorry, Mom, Dad. I won't do it again. We were just playing..." "Bend over!" Beverly ordered in a cold tone, showing no signs of mercy. Fin obeyed, resigning to his fate. Coldham had left the office to retrieve the cane. It was a long, springy thing and frightened the hell out of Fin. It caused a lot of pain. His mother took a seat at the desk. She leaned back and said: "Your little stunt earned you four cuts." Fin was glad he didn't have to pull down his underwear. It was always embarrassing and Fin hated it, especially since his mother either caned him or watched him getting it. The boxers didn't provide any form of protection. The strokes were going to hurt intensely. It seemed to take Fin's father to take ages to return. Fin was of two minds. He was glad about the reprieve, but on the other side he wanted to be done with it. In the end Coldham was back too fast. There was no dallying. Coldham lined up the first stroke. It landed on top of Fin's rear. At first Fin didn't feel anything; then the pain settled in with a vengeance. He cried out a bit. Fin tried to be brave and not to get out of position or cry. The second cut arrived a few seconds later, just a few inches below the other. Fin screamed. His eyes filled with tears. The pain was unbearable. Fin looked through his watery eyes at his mother. She watched like a predator. Fin couldn't understand it. Beverly seemed to enjoy the spectacle and the more he carried on the more she seemed to like it. Fin was confused. The next thing Fin felt was the cane making contact with the center of his behind. He cried out again and the tears spilled finally over. Fin braced himself for the last stroke. He heard the cane whistle, seconds later it hit him on the sit spots. Fin howled from the pain. His hands flew back to his sore behind. He was crying hard. "Fin, did we allow you to get out of position?" Fin had forgotten all about it. He was only allowed to get up or sooth his rear, when his parents said so. "No, Mom. He was barely understandable through his tears. "Come to me," Beverly ordered him. Fin dreaded it and damned himself. His mother guided him over her lap. She gently pulled down his underpants and smacked each cheek once. "I hope this reminds you in future to be more in control of yourself." Fin's behind felt on fire and the smacks had ignited it even further. He had thought it was impossible to cry harder, but he had to. He was thoroughly humiliated and ashamed. Fin hated his parents for it and for punishing him unfairly. Instead of nodding and promising to be better in future, he shouted at her: "I hate you!" It didn't go down well with his mother, who had Fin still bent over her lap. "You are going to treat us with respect!" she said and gave Fin four hard smacks. Fin buckled and squirmed, crying even more. He learned that he better didn't show or tell his parents how he felt as long as they had the upper hand. Fin was very disappointed in his parents and lost trust in them. From this moment onward he tried hard not to show how much each caning hurt and rarely cried in their presence. He also had himself under tight control and got seldom out of position. Finally Coldham asked Fin if he had enough and would apologize for his hurtful behavior. With gritted teeth Fin said he was sorry, not meaning it. He was allowed to get up and dressed. Fin was ashamed to have to go half naked to his room.
Mike felt guilty and hid in his room. It was the furthest away from Beverly's office and he could only barely hear Fin's screams. When it was over he was torn between going to Fin's room and apologizing or leaving him alone. Knowing his brother, Mike decided to stay where he was.

Fin needed a long time to calm down. He didn't know why his parents didn't love him. It hurt. Since he thought no matter what he did, he couldn't do it anyway right, he gave up to please them.

Fin spent the next two days mostly in bed, lying on his stomach. Sitting was impossible. The physical signs of Fin's caning were gone within one and a half weeks. It didn't mean Fin was in a forgiving mood. He ignored his parents and Mike for a while. Finally family life returned to what was considered normal in the Noose household.

How it all began

This builds on to "Grey". Hope you like it. :)

Marion Sweeney Hall was on the way to Buenos Aires to fulfil a contract. He reminisized how it all began.

Grey, as Marion preferred to be called, was in a bind when he was in his early twenties. He liked his job well enough, but it wasn't too exciting. He loved his grandmother Clyde B. C. "Momma" Dahl and would do anything for her. She was sick and Grey didn't know how to pay the medical bills. Grey felt a bit guilty about what he was about to do. He knew his grandmother wouldn't approve it.

She had been raising him, keeping Grey on the straight and narrow, but she felt Grey was drawn to crime and wasn't wrong about it. He saw what some of his cousins could afford, dealing drugs, and thought about which career path he could take in the criminal world. Momma had other plans with him and arranged an apprenticeship as a pastry chef for Grey when he left high school. Unfortunately Grey was an average student and not sporty, so a scholarship was out of the question and financing college was impossible.

Grey was African American and small with very dark skin and dark brown eyes. He blended into crowds perfectly well and was totally inconspicuous.

When Momma was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer Grey gave up his day job. He believed he was cut out to be a contract killer. Grey knew how to handle a gun, because he had spent his summers with his grand uncle in rural South Carolina, who took him hunting and fishing. It taught him to be patient. Grey was also cunning and cold blooded. His heroes were Harry "Pittsburgh Phil" Strauss and Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski. He had also heard about Joseph Buckland, but believed the guy was a myth. Joseph Buckland had never been caught and was one of the wealthiest hit men around. According to legend he lived in Phoenix like Grey.

Grey's first jobs came from his cousin's gang. He enjoyed the power he had over life and death. Grey wasn't a sadist, though, and tried to be as quick and painless as possible.

One day everything changed. Grey was approached by a woman. She wanted Senator Walter Baron Sabena from Wisconsin killed. The lady had been kidnapped when she was very young and held in a brothel, belonging to the senator. It had destroyed her life. Now she wanted her revenge. Grey hoped this case would be his breakthrough. Of course he had imagined it was a fairly easy job, but he was wrong and somebody else was also after Senator Sabena. Grey followed the competitor and ambushed him after knowing his routines. Grey used psychological and physical pressure to find out what the other one was up to. Fin Noose was a burglar and after some files. As a thank you for not shooting him, Fin gave Grey the senator's schedule. It made Grey's life much easier, but he also learned something. He needed a mentor, who showed him the tricks of the trade.
Grey was a bit sorry about how he had treated Fin and thought the burglar was honorable. Fin wasn't indebted and he still had helped him.
Grey tried to patch up the relationship and followed Fin to his home town Miami. At first Fin was unhappy to encounter Grey again, but was less frosty when he realized Grey's intention. It was the beginning of a great friendship and thanks to Fin's connection Grey was introduced to Joseph Buckland.

Joseph Buckland was about to send Grey away. When he heard who had recommended him, Joseph welcomed Grey with open arms. Joseph taught Grey for the next one and a half years, who turned out to be a rising star in his branch.

Releasing Tensions

Fin stared at his hacker Jamie Lu. She was tall, had platinum blond hair and brown eyes. He tried hard to concentrate on his work, but his thoughts drifted constantly off to her naked body. He wanted her desperately. Sex had always been good between the two...

Jamie Lu looked at Fin when he wasn't aware of it. She liked his full lips and his hands and what they were capable of doing.  She wondered if Fin was still interested in her. Maybe his taste had changed or he was on good behavior since the birth of his daughter.

Fin and Jamie Lu shared a writing desk.

Jamie Lu went back to her computer screen. Her job was to follow the trail of where the money in a fraud case had gone to and who the owner of the account was.

Fin was watching old CCTV images. He was trying to solve another puzzle. There had been a large amount of goods stolen from a warehouse, and he hoped the cameras had caught it.

Jamie Lu stretched her leg and touched Fin's by mistake. She withdrew it quickly, flushed and murmured an apology. Under lowered eye lids Jamie Lu watched Fin. He was light ash blond and his eyes were blue grey. Now Fin's eye color had changed to grey. Jamie Lu thought he was aroused. Fin confirmed it by saying: "You just set me on fire, darling." "Ohh!" Jamie Lu whispered delighted. Fin raised his hand and caressed Jamie Lu's cheek. She moaned with pleasure and kissed Fin's palm. Seconds later Jamie Lu nibbled on Fin's fingers. He was feeling the heat and was tempted to simply bend Jamie Lu over the desk, push up her skirt and take her from behind. Of course he didn't give in to his impulse and took his time, letting Jamie Lu touch him. Fin wanted to return the favor and got up. He went around the desk. Bending down Fin gave Jamie Lu a kiss on the mouth, his tongue went exploring. Jamie Lu's lips parted willingly. He touched her breasts, while her hands teared at Fin's shirt to feel his bare skin. It was hot. Fin unbuttoned Jamie Lu's blouse until her bustier was revealed. He hugged her; then he opened the clasp of the bustier. Jamie Lu's full breasts popped out. Fin fondled them and drove Jamie Lu mad. Their kiss intensified. "Fuck me now!" She demanded. Fin didn't need to be asked twice. While he undressed and rolled on a condom, Jamie Lu exposed her behind and bent over the writing desk; her boobs hanging down. It turned Fin on. They could hardly wait. Anal sex was for both enjoyable. Fin was hot, because he could dominate Jamie Lu. For his lover the attraction was a mix of pain and being aroused. Since fulfilment was an urgent need it was only a quickie and over in a few minutes.

Hidden

Did you ever wonder where Frieda was when Fin's middle man threatened to kidnap her and force Fin to do a job? Here is the answer. You can also read Fragments, Kidnapped, Middle Man and Break in. They are all connected. :)

"Leave immediately!" Coldham Fintan Noose III told his wife Frieda. She was surprised. The urgency of Fin's tone, as he was nick named, made it clear he wasn't requesting it on a whim. He told her Damien, his middle man, had sent out people to kidnap her, so that Fin was forced to do a job for Damien he wasn't willing to take on. Fin also asked her to leave her phone behind and to seek help from someone nobody would think of.

Frieda went calmly. She waddled more than walked, because she was in the last few months of her first pregnancy. Frieda was of course concerned, but hoped she managed to get away before the thugs arrived. She used the elevator as usual.

Frieda sighed a breath of relief when she was on the road. Before buying a new cell phone Frieda went to a gun shop. She hated weapons, but since her father was a high ranking member of the Colombian mafia he had deemed it necessary his daughters were able to defend themselves. Roberto Pianas had taken Frieda to the shooting range when she was thirteen. Frieda was a satisfactory shot and had a weapons license. She bought a Glock 12, her preferred gun, and ammunition. Afterwards she took care of the phone.
Resting at a cafe she thought about whom she could ask for help. Frieda dismissed her friends Agnes and Logan. If the kidnappers were any good they knew Frieda, Agnes and Logan had studied together and that Logan was a former work colleague of Frieda's. The same went for Bailey Mumford-Nuss and Reggie Smith. Reggie had been Fin's mentor and Bailey was his girlfriend.
After long deliberating Frieda got the phone number of her former professor. Frieda believed nobody would think about her.
"Hello?" Professor Phyllis Bligh answered. "Professor Bligh, it's Frieda Pianas Noose. You might remember me..." Phyllis Bligh, a tall African American, had never forgotten Frieda. How could she, when Frieda had been victim of racism at the college and there had been a hearing with Professor Bligh as a witness. Besides Frieda had been one of her favorite students. "Of course I do!" Professor Bligh had wondered what had happened to Frieda. Unfortunately way too few students kept contact.
Phyllis Bligh combined Frieda was married, based on the double name Frieda had given earlier. "Mrs. Pianas Noose, is this a social call?" Phyllis sounded stricter than intended. She was busy, having to go to the next lecture soon. "No, I'll have to ask for a huge favor and it could be dangerous for you." "What has happened?" "To make a long story short, somebody is trying to kidnap me and I need a hiding place. Would you allow me to stay with you for a while? I hope the issue is resolved within a few weeks." Phyllis didn't hesitate. She agreed immediately.

When they met in the evening Phyllis was surprised to find Frieda was pregnant and it had progressed quite far. Phyllis hoped Frieda wasn't going to give birth while she was staying with her. During dinner they caught up, but Frieda was elusive about why somebody wanted to kidnap her and what made her so sure her situation would improve soon. When Frieda had enough of Phyllis inquisitiveness she said: "Look, I appreciate you are helping me, but it is better for you the fewer you know." Phyllis wasn't happy with that answer but was all what she got. It let her wonder what Frieda's husband was doing for a living. Professor Bligh wasn't used to have people around her. Having been divorced for sixteen years and living alone slightly longer it was a major lifestyle change for her. Frieda tried to not inconvenience Phyllis, was tidy, and it was nice to have a dinner waiting when Phyllis returned after a long day.
One evening Frieda approached the subject of regular doctor's check-ups. She asked if Phyllis could contact her doctor and to arrange house visits. Frieda didn't want to change doctors at the last moment. Frieda feared, though, when she went to the surgery the kidnappers were waiting for her, so she couldn't take the risk. Normally her doctor didn't do house visits. Thanks to Professor Bligh's stubbornness she made an exception.

Fin kept her regularly updated. Frieda missed Fin and looked forward to the calls, but she was getting frustrated about only hearing Fin and his friends hadn't found Damien yet. There was a break through after Frieda stayed a bit more than two weeks with Professor Bligh. To Frieda's disappointment and anger Damien had escaped, but the other kidnappers were dead. Frieda had hoped she could return home now. They agreed it was still too dangerous. Damien had to be desperate. Frieda was glad to hear Grey Hall was still on the case and if he was able to locate Damien he would kill him.

Frieda was getting restless and tried hard not to be short tempered or grumpy. She had enough of being pregnant and wanted to sleep in her own bed with Fin beside her. She missed the physical contact. Frieda started to despair and believed she was going to have to live forever at a random place.

Finally Frieda received the news Damien had been terminated. Damien's death had come just in time. There were only four weeks to go until the baby was due.
Frieda had mixed feelings about the whole affair. She was glad she could spend time with Professor Blythe and know her better, but was sad about Damien's demise and over overjoyed to be reunited with Fin, who felt responsible and guilty for a while about Damien.

GOBO Upstairs @ The Traders by Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Before travelling to Malaysia we reserved a table for two at GOBO Upstairs. It was our second visit to the Traders Hotel by Shangri-La, Kuala Lumpur. During a previous holiday we've been to the SkyBar with stunning views over the PETRONAS Twin Towers.

This time around we decided beforehand we wanted lunch at one of the Traders' restaurants. Studying the menus online we picked GOBO Upstairs. Setting on a date we heard it was a bank holiday in Malaysia and the restaurant hadn't open, so we had to book our reservation for a different day. It wasn't a big problem, because we were flexible. It worked out for our second date.

The interior was modern and had high ceiling windows.

The staff was attentive and friendly.

The polo shirt I was wearing was a talking point.

It was newly bought at the DoubleTree by Hilton (see also review) and since the Traders is a competitor to the DoubleTree it garnered attention.

We were joining GOBO Upstairs during the week for lunch. We weren't the only ones. GOBO was buzzing with a large mixed business group (some were Malay others were Chinese and Thai), a few couples and a lonely business man.

There were different set menus and an a la carte menu available.

We chose a la carte.

Our drinks were a large bottle of Acqua Panna to share, a mango lassi and a Thai Collins Mocktail.

A fresh bread selection was also served.

The main courses were cod and sea bass with a side dish of green asparagus and parmesan cheese for both of us. We love this combination and the flavors.

The desserts were of course the highlight. The presentation of each dish was done beautifully, but the most interesting was the berry sorbet. It was shaped like a cone. The tiramisu was also very good.

We were happy with the ambience, the staff and the quality of the food. There's is no reason why we shouldn't go back yet again when in Kuala Lumpur.

The PETRONAS Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

As always when in Kuala Lumpur we visited the Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world. This was our third visit.

We booked our tickets online. During our previous visits entry was free based on first come first serve basis with limited tickets available. Now it cost 80 MYR (ca. 18.30 Euro / ca. 25.00 USD) per person. There was something else new too.

A month before our visit the 86th floor was also opened for the public. Before we had only access to the 42nd floor double-decker bridge. We were curious what the world looked like from the 86th floor.

We arrived around 30 minutes before our chosen time and found the E-Ticket Counter closed. We asked a member of staff where we could go to now. He was also surprised the counter wasn't open and brought us to the one for immediate purchase.

We could jump the queue to the dismay of the waiting customers. We didn't keep the others too long. Within a minute we had our tickets in hand.

Shortly before our time slot our group was called forward. We received visitor badges and had to go through a metal detector. Soon afterwards we were whisked up to the Sky bridge.

We were given fifteen minutes, which is in our opinion too short, especially when you're there the first time. We noticed other members of our group were a bit unhappy about the amount of time too. Otherwise we enjoyed the views and noticed some changes of the Kuala Lumpur skyline. The KLCC Park is unfortunately smaller now. There is also a huge building site around the mosque and another one for the planned Four Seasons hotel.

When our time was up we had to get into the elevator again and ended up at the 86th floor. There was an exhibition about the progress Malaysia has made in the last 50 years, Dr. Mahatir, Petronas and Kuala Lumpur. It also gave a glimpse what the future plans for the country are.

The views over the city were a bit hampered by fog and clouds. If the weather is good, the views should be stunning and far reaching.

The twenty minutes flew by, but were more appropriate than the fifteen minutes at the Sky bridge.

Of course no visit to the PETRONAS Twin Towers would be complete without having a browse at the gift shop. We ended up with a watch for him.

Would we return? Yes, we love this landmark and enjoy the views from the Sky bridge and the 86th floor.

The Cascade Restaurant & Bar, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Before we arrived even in Malaysia we made a reservation at the Cascade Restaurant & Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. The first contact made a good impression.

The Cascade Restaurant was located on the Spa/Pool level and easily accessible via elevator from the lobby.

The Mandarin Oriental has changed a bit since our last visit, where we went to the Lounge on the Park.

The Cascade was easy to find. It is outdoors and offers views over the stunning pool over the KLCC Park, the Grand Hyatt, where we stayed (see review) and the city.

The staff was welcoming and let us choose our table.

It wasn't busy.

We had watermelon juice, Arabic Kebab and Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, sticky rice with mango and Segafreddo Affogato. All was delicious, light and healthy.

The kebab, spaghetti and the sticky rice were MO signature dishes.

The spaghetti were definitely differently than the one we had in South Korea. There were different vegetables added like courgette and peppers.

The sticky rice was also unusual, because it was deconstructed.

We also chatted a bit with Mohammed, the restaurant manager.

We had a very pleasant time and the price was average for the type of hotel restaurant. The quality was high and the staff was attentive, so we would return again.
